A Fish Story
SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 1.—Frac Pino, Pietro Motline and Joseph Courpiani, fisherman, tell a remarkable story of their encounter with a huge swordfish today. They were engaged in fishing near Point Reyes when a swordfish attacked them. They beat the fish off twice with a harpoon and a boathook. The swordfish finally ran its sword through the bottom of the boat and through Pino’s leg, terribly lacerating it. The host began to fill with water, but they pulled into shallow water, while the swordfish disappeared.
